That being said, the following is the troubleshooting technique that I use when trying to figure out why a Mac App Store app won’t launch. Use at your own risk, etc. Remember that I’m just some guy on the Internet (allegedly!) giving you free, un-guaranteed advice. I almost always have a complete, recent, fully bootable backup on my Mac. If it appears that your Dropbox App won’t open on Mac OS X, take a look at these installation instructions to see why you may not be seeing it.

You receive one of the following errors when you try to open a Microsoft Word document or Microsoft Excel spreadsheet from an external source:

- Check the file permissions for the document or drive.
- Make sure there is sufficient free memory and disk space.
- Open the file with the Text Recovery converter.
(C:Users..test.docx)
Microsoft Excel cannot open or save any more documents because there is not enough available memory or disk space.

I have a MacBook Pro running Sierra v10.12.6. I also have Excel 2011 for Mac installed.
Pages Won't Open Mac
I cannot open any Excel file whether it was created on Mac or PC.
It opens in Numbers then I have to save it as an Excel file. That doesn't seem right to me. When I try to open it I get a window for every Excel file on my computer with a message that it can't be opened. Once I close them all I have to open it with Number then save the file as an Excel file.
